The main chemical composition of the Ruby consists of Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3) with embedded trace elements including Iron, Chromium, Silica, Magnesium, Titanium, Gallium, Vanadium, Calcium and Nickel, giving and influencing its signature red hues by replacing some of its Al3+ ions in the mineral lattices. Chromium being the primary colour contributor. Geologically they're called Corundums. This particular version of Ruby originates from the newer mines of Africa. It is more available compared to Burma or Madagascar origins. Astrologically, they offer similar contributions thus making them a suitable budget friendly option. A lot of them come artificially enhanced (composite) and treated to improve colour values, which makes them more vibrant to the eye - though enhanced but are 100% original precious gemstones.
